If they don't have ads on there or sell anything personally, where does the money come from? If i were to make a website with no ads, and i receive visitors, how do i get money from it? It's a difficult question from what i've noticed, anyone mind...
They are getting acut from all the products purchased by a buyer that used their site to link to the product. It is called an Affiliate Program.

Rentcycle raises $1.4M from Andreessen-Horowitz, cast of internet stars
What do venture firm Andreessen-Horowitz and successful internet companies Opentable , Paypal , Netflix , Yelp and Shopzilla have in common? Rental eCommerce company, Rentcycle and its first $1.4 million round.
Finding the right investors, let alone advisors and board members, can be an intense process. Even big companies, like dot-com survivor Cvent, which waited 10 years to accept funding , put a lot of stock in creating the best partnerships. Tim Hyer, founder of Rentcycle (pictured left), understood that challenge. Now he has funding from Andreessen-Horowitz, co-founder of Paypal Max Levchin, founder of Shopzilla Farhad Mohit, Collaborative Fund, and others.
He also added founder of OpenTable Chuck Templeton to his board and enlisted Netflix cofounder Marc Randolph as an advisor.
“We’re basically trying to build the biggest rental e-commerce website,” Hyer told Venturebeat.

What is the best comparison shopping search engine, Google, Yahoo!? It depends, and often neither. These mighty search engines can only do so much with the enormous amount of information on the Net. Comparison shopping search engines often perform better as they are devoted to retailers, products, prices, and savings. Following is a list of the arguably best shopping search engines for quality merchandise, bottom-line pricing, product reviews, and, best of all, money-saving coupons and offers.
Yahoo! Shopping vs. Froogle : Yahoo’s comparison shopping search engine offers a somewhat superior selection of vendors, extensive product ratings, and reviews. Google’s comparison shopping search engine, Froogle, is useful if you want to include eBay listings, search by zip code, or include physical maps of a store....
Shopzilla Says iPads Are the New It Bag
We know that iPads are becoming increasingly popular here in the US, but now they’re taking over in Europe, too.
According to shopping search engine Shopzilla , the iPad is the new “it bag.” In other words, it’s the trendy, fashionable item that every shopper wants to own.
In their recent survey, they found that 6% of shoppers already had a table and 20% were thinking about buying one this year. Here in the US, 12% of consumers already have a device and 25% plan on buying this year. (Count me in that 25%!)
When it comes to online shopping with a tablet, 61% said it was as easy to use as their personal computer. That ease of use and the portability is the reason 53% of respondents said they use the device to shop and browse with a friend. Only 27% report co-shopping with a smartphone.
We already know how important peer recommendations are in retail, so the fact that people are co-shopping on their tablets is amazing.
