I am looking at spending around $6500 with the setting (The setting alone is $3050). Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Yikes! I wouldn't purchase a diamond with clarity less than an eye-clean SI-1.
Not only that, but EGL's grading of SI-2 could actually mean it's really an I-1 clarity diamond.
Sorry, I don't trust EGL. I only trust GIA or AGS.

No, the SI2 is a low quality for clarity (one of the C's).
H is ok for color.
Shop around to find out if it's a good price.

Hi everyone. I am buying a diamond for my wife to put into a necklace setting. I am purchasing this diamond from a dealer that I have used in the past here in town. I am in a bit of a pickle here. Previous stones I have purchased from her have been GIA rated. This stone is EGL (Los Angeles I believe) rated.
