Downtown Los Angeles in the Jewelry District. There are so many good deals and great jewelry especially Diamonds. You won't see a storefront for those stores though because they are usually on the 7th or 8th floor.
I've been looking to find a loose diamond online because it's MUCH less expensive than going into the jewelry stores to buy, and you don't have to deal with the pushy sales people. I've been doing a bit of research, but am having a bit of trouble...
This is a very odd price for the diamond, I agree. I used a diamond search engine (http://www.diamondpriceguru.com/ but there are others) and plugged in the stats you gave: princess cut, "good" cut grade, G color, SI clarity, carat 1.19. It didn't have any exact matches,
