Cushion Diamond | www.DiamondInfoCenter.com

Hi. I'm about to propose to my lovely girlfriend and I need help with the ring. Can any ladies help me out? She casually mentioned in the past, she would like a cushion diamond, but later said she'd be happy with a princess cut too. So after shopping through Blue Nile, I narrowed it down to the following 3: Princess Cut, . 60 carat, Signature Ideal Cut, E color, VS1 clarity, $1900. Cushion Cut, . 71 carat, Very Good Cut, E color, VS1 clarity, $2100. Cushion Cut, . 75 carat, Very Good Cut, G color, VS2 clarity, $2300. The Blue Nile rep said the . 60 Princess is the way to go because the superior Signature Ideal cut will sparkle more than the Cushion Very Good Cut, even though the Cushion cut diamonds are usually known to sparkle more due to its rounder shape. Any advice? I originally thought the bigger cushion diamond would be the way to go, but now am starting to think otherwise. THANKS IN ADVANCE. Do you know what I found? Princess cut is blah. cushion cut is way prettier, more modern yet classic and definitely better as a whole. Princess is too typical and overdone, it doesn't look very special anymore. Also, cushion tends to look more high end, in my opinion.
